She

She burns like a flame, a feeling not to tame,
How does she tear you down yet give you strength?
I’m not in love; she has conquered me, made me lame,
Beat me down and dragged me the whole length.
I will sit down and watch her tear me apart,
I won’t move as her claws dig into my soul.
I won’t fight as she engulfs my heart,
She came in and gave a new birth to my whole,
She has owned me and I no longer hurt.
She’s my friend; she won’t let me fall,
But in a passionate embrace lay her down.
She has been good so I’ll be gentle,
Droplets of my being her curves adorn,
The scent of her skin, oh, how could I settle?
Because I’m up and I’m ready to roll!
I tremble as I hold her close,
She knows she’s the one I want to hold,
She’s the one that my heart chose.
